The House

Designed in 1972 by renowned architect José Antonio Coderch, this iconic family house is one of his most personal projects: commissioned by his sister and owned today by his nephew. After some thorough maintenance work (all original elements have always been preserved), Casa Coderch has recently opened its doors. Visitors can enjoy a range of possibilities: from reflective vacation stays, sitting by the swimming pool surrounded by nature, silence and scenic views, to corporate meetings. Located in the countryside, a short 35-minute drive from Barcelona.

Stay

The entire property is available for up to 15 guests.
For smaller groups, segments of the house can be rented: hosting from 4 to 11 people.

Photogenic interiors and exteriors: a unique location for film and photography.

Education

Guided visits can be arranged for any group interested in contemporary Spanish architecture, particularly in this example of Coderch’s work.

The architect

José Antonio Coderch (1913-1984) is considered one of the most valued architects in post-war Spain. Often described as the architect of modernity, his works are still seen as vivid examples of contemporary architecture and his legacy includes hundreds of listed buildings all over Spain. Coderch gained significant recognition throughout his career, winning the architecture FAD awards in 1960 and 1972. He also became a member of Team X establishing friendships with other renowned international architects. His design creations such as the Disa lamp or the Polo chimney are also worth mentioning as well as his contributions as a photographer.

Overview

The house sits on top of a hill with spectacular views. The ground floor is 400 m2. It has 8 bedrooms, all with their own en-suite bathroom. There are two living rooms, each with a fireplace, a kitchen and dining room that sits 12 people. Outside there is a large porch and a round table by the pool big enough for 10 people.
